Washington: U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has once again expressed his desire to include Canada as part of the United States, sharing images of American maps that feature Canada as part of the country.
On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump posted several maps that depicted the U.S. and Canada as one unified nation. One of the images showed a combined U.S. and Canadian territory labeled as “United States.”
Another map shared by Trump featured the U.S. and Canada as a single country, with the entire map overlaid with the U.S. flag. Along with this image, Trump included the caption “Oh Canada.”
During a press conference the previous day, Trump commented on the U.S.-Canada border, suggesting that removing this “temporary line” would benefit national security. He further stated that the U.S. and Canada would “look great together.”
