Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Chairman Imran Khan has condemned the social media propaganda against Arab countries, announcing his disassociation from the accounts involved. He made it clear that these accounts are not affiliated with PTI or its members.
According to PTI’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, Imran Khan, during a meeting in jail, expressed his strong disapproval of the propaganda circulating on social media related to Arab nations, Bushra Bibi, and martyrs. Imran Khan clarified that none of the accounts involved in this campaign are connected to PTI or its supporters.
Faisal Chaudhry also stated that preventing the PTI’s negotiating committee from meeting with the founder of PTI is tantamount to sabotaging the ongoing talks. He added that the founder has formed a committee, led by Judge Qazi Anwar, to investigate the issue of missing persons, with a report expected to be completed by Sunday.
Further, Faisal Chaudhry mentioned that a petition regarding the facilities available to Imran Khan in jail was filed in court today. The court has approved their request for access to phone calls with his children, medical care, and books.
Chaudhry also highlighted that Imran Khan has directed the party to focus on the missing persons issue, reiterating that his legal cases should not be part of the negotiation agenda. He expressed support for talks focused on addressing Pakistan’s broader issues, and emphasized that the government’s negotiating team must show genuine intent for negotiations to succeed.
