An 80-vehicle convoy carrying essential supplies has departed from Tirah towards Kurram, following the lifting of a protest in Parachinar.

The provincial government has imposed Section 144, implementing curfews in sensitive areas to ensure the safe passage of the convoy. Authorities expect the convoy to reach Parachinar today.

While the provincial government refers to the convoy as an aid mission, the President of the Traders Association clarified that all supplies belong to the business community; no government supplies are included. Police confirmed that the protest has ended and roads have been cleared, allowing the convoy to proceed from Chapri towards Parachinar.

Section 144 remains in effect, prohibiting gatherings of more than five individuals and the display of weapons.

This measure aims to maintain order and security during the convoy’s transit. The successful departure of the convoy marks a significant step in alleviating supply shortages in Parachinar.
