Rawalpindi( The COW News Digital)In a high-stakes intelligence-based operation in Awaran, Balochistan, Pakistani security forces eliminated three India-backed militants affiliated with the proscribed group “Fitna-e-Hindustan,” according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The clash, however, resulted in the martyrdom of Major Syed Rabnawaz Tariq, who was leading his troops from the front.

The ISPR stated that on July 16, acting on credible intelligence, security forces launched a precision operation targeting the hideout of the militant group. “The terrorists were Indian-sponsored and associated with destabilizing activities in the region,” the military’s media wing noted.

The forces effectively engaged the hideout and neutralized the three militants. “During the intense exchange of fire, Major Syed Rabnawaz fought valiantly, ultimately embracing martyrdom while defending the homeland,” ISPR confirmed.

Following the operation, a clearance and sanitization sweep was initiated in the area to eliminate any remaining threats. “Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating India-sponsored terrorism from its soil, and the ultimate sacrifices of our brave soldiers continue to reinforce our resolve,” the statement added.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to Major Rabnawaz and acknowledged the professionalism and courage of the armed forces. “The successful operation in Awaran is a testament to the capability and determination of our security forces,” the Prime Minister said.

He extended condolences to the family of the fallen officer and prayed for the elevation of his rank in the hereafter. “We will continue the fight against terrorism until its complete eradication. The entire nation stands in solidarity with our martyrs and their families,” he affirmed.

The Prime Minister also praised the military’s constant vigilance against the nefarious designs of enemy forces. “Our officers and troops are working around the clock to thwart threats to national security,” he said, reaffirming the government’s unwavering support for the armed forces.

The incident comes amid rising tensions along Pakistan’s western front, with recent intelligence pointing to increased cross-border militant infiltration attempts allegedly backed by foreign actors.

As operations continue in Awaran, security officials maintain that such coordinated actions are vital to preserving national stability and defeating the forces of chaos and subversion.
