Islamabad: The decision on the reference of 190 million pounds against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi has been postponed.
According to sources, the decision was supposed to be announced today, but the Islamabad Accountability Court informed PTI’s lawyers that the decision would not be delivered today and a new date would be set.
It is noteworthy that the trial for this 190 million-pound reference was completed in one year, during which the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) recorded statements from 35 witnesses. Key witnesses in the case include former Principal Secretary Azam Khan, former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, and former Federal Minister Zubaida Jalal. The charges were framed in the case on February 27, 2023.
