15 Militants Killed in Clash with Security Forces in Balochistan, Brave Soldier Martyred

Rawalpindi: Security forces conducted a successful operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob district, Balochistan, killing 15 militants and recovering weapons and ammunition.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following intelligence reports of militant presence in the area. During the encounter, Sepoy Arif Rehman embraced martyrdom while bravely fighting against the militants. A sanitization operation was carried out in the region to eliminate remaining threats.

Recent Counter-Terrorism Efforts

In a separate intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan’s Kolachi area yesterday, security forces killed two militants and captured another in wounded condition. These individuals were involved in attacks on security forces and civilians, and weapons and ammunition were seized during the operation.

Earlier this week, security forces neutralized 22 militants in various operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while six soldiers were martyred.

  • North Waziristan: Ten militants were killed in a successful counter-terrorism operation.
  • Tank: Nine militants were eliminated following an intelligence-led operation.
  • Thall: Three militants were killed while attempting to attack a security checkpoint. During this incident, six soldiers valiantly sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

The ongoing operations reflect a robust commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring national security, as security forces continue to thwart militant threats across the region.
