Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, eliminating 14 militants linked to an India-sponsored proxy network, according to the military’s media wing ISPR.
The operation was launched after credible intelligence confirmed the presence of militants affiliated with “Fitna al-Khawarij,” a group reportedly backed by Indian proxies.
A clearance operation is ongoing to ensure the elimination of any remaining threats in the area.
The ISPR reaffirmed the resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, and the Interior Minister praised the armed forces for their swift and effective action against the foreign-backed terror group.
This operation follows a similar one a day earlier in Balochistan, where seven militants from the India-backed group “Fitna al-Hind” were neutralized.
