Government of Pakistan has initiated the process of blocking the passports of over 10,000 Pakistani citizens involved in various crimes in Iran.

According to sources, 10,050 Pakistani passports have been blocked for involvement in different criminal activities in Iran. These individuals were accused of various offenses such as human trafficking, illegal residency, drug-related crimes, extremism, and other illegal activities.

Sources from the Ministry of Interior stated that Pakistani citizens had been arrested in Iran for crimes like human trafficking, illegal stay, drugs, extremism, and more. Over the past 18 months, Iran has deported more than 5,000 Pakistani citizens.

Additionally, more than 4,000 Pakistanis have been arrested in Iran for crossing the border illegally, and legal action has been initiated against those involved in crimes.

The passports of these Pakistani citizens have been blocked for a period of 5 to 7 years.

It is also notable that the federal government has decided to block the passports of Pakistani citizens involved in criminal activities. Recently, the passports of 2,470 Pakistani citizens involved in drug crimes in the UAE were also blocked.
