Two people died and dozens injured when passenger buses smashes and crashed in Kallar Kahar and Kalat on Friday morning.
In the first incident, five people lost their lives and and 25 received critical injuries when a passenger bus overturned due to brakes failure on Motorway M-5 in Kallar Kahar Salt Range.
Rescue 1122 officials said that the ill-fated passenger bus was going to Rawalpindi from Chishtian.
Soon after receiving the report of the incident, police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to Trauma Centre of Kallar Kahar.
According to rescue sources, the death toll may rise further as some of the injured were in critical condition.
The dead persons were later identified as Abid resident of Sahiwal, Arsalan son of Maqbool, Ali Raza son of Abdul Razzaq resident of Burewala and Zaheer son of Mohammad Shahbaz who was belonged to Pakpattan.
Medical Superintendent of Trauma Centre said that identification of one of the deceased was yet to be finalized.
Further investigation was underway.
In the second accident, another five people perished and 14 seriously injured when two passenger buses collided head-on on National Highway in Kalat on Friday.
Levies Force personnel shifted the dead and the wounded to the DHQ Hospital.
The accident occurred in Raje area on National Highway. Rescue 1122, Edhi, police and Levies personnel reached the site after receiving information about the accident.
Sources in the DHQ Hospital informed that all the wounded passengers were referred to Quetta after treatment.
